Impressed with Megan Wingrove’s riding when she was successful aboard Starfighter at Beverley recently., she’s only taken seven rides on the Flat since 2000, but her form figures in those races are 1618231, with winners at 16/1, 14/1 and 8/1 as well as a second at 28/1.
Megan gets the ride on John Gallagher’s Kodiac gelding GLOBAL ESTEEM, and the pair tick all the right boxes, with Global Esteem the only course winner in the field, who ran very well despite sitting too close to a strong pace over a mile here last time. The drop to 7f will suit, and fast ground is ideal for one who is just 1lb higher than when winning in similar conditions at Leicester in May. He should get a tow into the race from Fieldsman in the stall next door, and looks to have all bases covered
